Dr Roz Savage MBE MP is the daughter of a Methodist minister and a Methodist deaconess. She has an Oxford law degree and a doctorate in environment / economics / social sciences. She has spent 11 years in business.

She holds four Guinness World Records for ocean rowing, including first woman to row solo across three oceans, the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian. She used her voyages as platform for environmental advocacy on the international stage. Her work on the environment and climate change has been recognised by the UN and by the award of an MBE. In July 2024 she was elected as Liberal Democrat MP for the South Cotswolds.
