Issue No. 23 – 25 August 2021
This issue we lead with Annette Shaw showing how the British have been “gaslighted”. We welcome a new writer, Amber Hill, who explores how Covid and the climate crisis are intertwined. Other topics include Afghanistan (sadly of course), the role of women as carers in times of Covid and the case for a Progressive Alliance to oust this government. On the lighter side Hadrian Cook compares Nationalism and Patriotism prompted by a trip to Scotland and Philip Cole calls out Gavin Williamson’s ludicrous idea of teaching everyone Latin. If you haven’t heard of “Right to Repair” then read Colin Thompson’s eye-opening two articles on the subject.
