Last time out, I interviewed the Labour candidate for the newly formed Bicester and Woodstock constituency, Veronica Oakeshott. Now I talk to the Green candidate, Ian Middleton.
Mr Middleton talks about the main aims of the Green Party, such as targeting NHS waiting times and social care, the availability of affordable housing, the quality of our rivers (an issue we have documented extensively here at West England Bylines), as well as the environment saying:
“Because that’s obviously a key issue for the Green Party, essentially what it says on the tin.”
He also outlines a wealth tax as a way to fund the Green Party’s policies.
“Billionaires, the multi-billionaires and the people who tend to avoid their tax, tend to be non-domiciles, don’t live in this country, or large corporations who are making fortunes out of this country and not paying into our communities”,
