Malcolm Atkins and Sylvia Vetta started Sing 4 Gaza because they want people anywhere to explore a different tone of protest to make it easier to engage with people.
This Saturday 14 Feb 3-4.30 they’ve organised a fundraising event for The Hands Up Project in Kennington Village Centre.
Violins & Roses is a family event and won’t be distressing. We hope to connect by zoom to some young poets in the west Bank (ages 9-16) and we will be showing this beautiful animated film about taking a violin to Gaza

After tea there’ll be live music provided by members of Confluence Collective and Palestinian dancing which everyone can join in with. Entrance is free but we’d welcome donations to The Hands Up Project.
It’s a charity which, through its network of volunteers, connects children around the world with young people in Palestine. By means of online interaction, drama and storytelling activities, it enables the use of creativity and self-expression to promote mutual understanding, personal growth, and the development of English language skills.
